Capture Time

It seems like everybody is always complaining about how busy they are these days. Time is rushing by faster than we can think and our kids are becoming adults before our very eyes.  We can continue to complain and fill our days with frantic rushing aboutÖ or we can make the conscious effort to stop and capture time more often.
When was the last time you stopped and took a break just to take pictures of your kids? How about setting aside a moment to write in your journal or update that scrapbook?

I feel so much more ďpulled togetherĒ when I make the effort to just putter around my home and play games, thumb through a magazine, or read a book with one of my girls.  Life has such a way of sucking all free time out of us; it is harmful. Itís harmful to our health and our emotional well being.  Donít let life take away the magic of lying in the grass, daydreaming, and looking at the clouds. Donít let obligations rob you of the joy in rocking in a rocking chair on the front porch or the delight found in enjoying a slow stroll around the neighborhood.

We only have one life. We only get one chance to raise our children. Donít miss out on all those moments that can only be captured in the still calm of life.
