5 Creative Ways to Show a Child Love

In the fast paced, high-tech, high stress world we live in today we often don’t take the time to let our children know how much we love them and what they mean to us.
Here are five fun and creative ways to let your little ones know you care.
1.) Mail a love note: We all love to get encouraging notes and kids love mail of any sorts. Get a blank card and send a special note just to say, “I Love You”.
2.) Send a special gift to school: This is great for young girls. Have your local florist make up a small bouquet. This can be a bouquet of flowers, candy bars, suckers or balloons. Deliver it to the school office with a handmade card attached.
3.) Breakfast in bed: Adults aren’t the only ones who like to be pampered. Wake up your child with a tray of his favorite breakfast items. Include a coupon for another one on a day he chooses.
4.) Child’s Day: As a family choose one day a year and declare it Child’s Day. When the day arrives have a small gift ready for each child. Let them plan the day’s activities and meals. Oh, and let the chores slide, just this once.
5.) Hearts Abound: Around Valentine’s Day stock up on heart paraphernalia. While your child is away take the hearts and write one special quality about her on each one. Hang them all over her room.
