Meghan Rose-The New Kid on the Block:
Children's Chapter Books with a Christian Message

If you are a parent or a teacher of beginning readers, you know how hard it is to find a variety of chapter books on this level. Well, search no further, because Lori Z. Scott has published a new line of chapter books called the Meghan Rose Series. These books are not only appealing because of their reading level, but also because the author has deliberately woven God into the core of the stories.
Scott has found an effective way to communicate relevant Christian topics through an entertaining and loveable character named Meghan Rose. Discussion questions and fun activity ideas are listed in the back of each book. Currently, there are four books in the series. Each has a different underlying message-friendship, patience, inner beauty, and the power of words.
Meghan Rose Has a Secret is a heart-warming and entertaining story of how Meghan Rose learns about the power of her words and the power of God’s Word over her. It all begins when her first grade class makes a visit to the school book fair and she purchases a pretty, purple diary. She finds lots of things to write down, but soon finds that her secrets are not so nice. With the help of her parents and her fourth-grade reading buddy, Meghan Rose decides to change her ways. Overall, this was a terrific book with an inspiring message.

where visitors can meet Meghan Rose and her friends, try some fun activities and take a look at the books. There are also ideas for teachers to use in the classroom. As a former educator and a loving parent, I would highly recommend the Meghan Rose chapter books.
